State of the District 2023
Dallas ISD's State of the District gala event was hosted at the Omni Hotel for the 2023 academic school year.
State of the District is an annual celebration highlighting key initiatives, programs, and outstanding accomplishments. For 2023, the gala also hosted the Educator of the Year Awards, which recognized top Principals and Teachers serving the district.
The brand name #TeamDallasISD was formally chosen for the event, to emphasize the collaborative spirit of Dallas.

Digital invitation graphic, establishing the visual identity for all collateral items. The invite was shared in a districtwide email campaign.
Several pieces of large-print signage needed to be designed for the lobby, hallways, and ballroom entrance.

As mentioned, the gala event doubled as an awards ceremony. Large lightbox designs were displayed to showcase each candidate for the Teacher of the Year awards and the Principal of the Year awards.

Below is the official design for the event program. Artwork needed to include a menu, finalists for the TOY and POY award categories, and several other honorees. A page dedicated to the event sponsors was included as well.

In addition to printed items, we also needed digital media for the live show. The venue required a widescreen digital backdrop for the main stage.
The backdrop images needed to account for picture-in-picture on both sides, to contain keynote deck slides and live feed footage.
